DPA Melinda

       DOB:    01/10/01
       Color:   Dark Fawn
       Dam:    PPPeruvian Sophia (WH)
       Sire:     QAI1 Tolkien Importo98 (TB)
Service Sire:  Ameripaca's Sir Scott (WH)

Melinda is a gorgeous, golden-hued female suri.  She

has extremely soft, fine fleece with lots of luster.  Her first

cria sired by Ameripaca's Ramsey was a beautiful black

male, Chocolate Moose Delight.  So of course we

repeated the color match and bred her to another award

winning black sire, Shasta Springs Kryptonite, owned

by Prairie Lake Alpacas.  Melinda gave birth to another

black cria in 2005, and it was a female!  She had a black

male, Nick Nack Paddy Whack, when bred to
PLA Storm Cloud (who is black, of course) for her
spring 2006 cria.  She's batting 100% black when

bred to black herdsires.  So to mix things up, we
bred her to white this year!

Agape de Bolivia
       DOB:  01/31/97
       Color:  Pinto
       Dam:  Agapitta (MB)
       Sire:   Unknown Bolivian
Service Sire:  Ameripaca's Sir Scott (WH)

Agape comes from the Greek word for "love" and the

name fits this female suri perfectly.  She has a very

sweet, lovely disposition.  And with her striking pinto

coloring of medium fawn and white, with a rose grey

mask on her face, she is a stand-out in the herd.  Agape

is a great mother with the milking capacity of a dairy

cow, demonstrated by the vigorous growth of all her crias.

Her 2005 cria, Little Miss Muffet, had gorgeous fleece

structure right from birth.  Muffet was born with the

longest pencil locks I have ever seen on a newborn.
She was bred to a black sire (PLA Storm Cloud) for 2006,
and had a beautiful brown male cria with a white marking
on his face, Hickory Dickory Doc.  This year we bred
her to a white sire, Ameripaca's Sir Scott.  Imagine the
fleece quality on this cria!

Harriet is a white female suri with perfect conformation.

She has a very dense, lustrous fleece, which placed first

in all the suri fleece categories at The 2004 Great

Frederick Fair.  She has a very sweet, gentle

personality which continues throughout her pregnancy.

She was bred to Nolan Ryan, one of Ameripaca's

Peruvian herdsires, and had a gorgeous male

cria, Little Boy Blue.  Her Spring 2006 cria from

PLA Louisville Slugger is a fantastic female,

Little Bo Peep.  She has been bred to award winning

PLA Cool Hand Luke for her Fall 2007 cria.  Can't wait

to see the locks on that baby!

Shasta Springs Twilight

      DOB:  10/04/02
      Color:  Medium Brown

Dam:  Moonlight and Roses (DB WH TB)

        Sire:   Parinacota Oscar (DRG WH)

Service Sire:  PLA Louisville Slugger (WH)

Twilight is a very feminine-looking suri alpaca, covered

with soft, fine locks.  She has shine on top of shine.

She is a rare maroon color with grey in her genes from

both her sire and dam.  If bred to the right herdsire,

she has a high probability of throwing grey crias.

She has a very curious, friendly disposition.  Twilight

ribboned in a very competitive class at the MAPACA

Jubilee in April 2004 and was 2nd in her class at the

Frederick Fair in September 2003.  She retired from

the show ring and was bred to Shasta Spring's

light rose grey herdsire - Admiral, producing a black

male cria, King Cole.  She was rebred to Admiral
and had a brown male cria named Gingerbread Man.
For next year's cria, we bred her to PLA Louisville
Slugger
, a very dense, tight-locked white herdsire
from Prairie Lake Alpacas.
